                                                Benefits of Membership

By becoming a member of the Kingman Modelers, you will receive encouragement and support in your new hobby.  Current members are willing to help you with all of your questions and any problems that you may encounter.

You will also have access to a suitable site for flying remote control airplanes. 

Our AMA charter will also provide liability insurance for individual members relating to the operation of radio controlled models. 

 

 

                    How Do You Become A Member Of The Kingman Modelers?

 

1. Fill out the membership form provided below. 

2. Provide proof of membership in the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics).  For complete details on the AMA membership, click here

3. Pay the appropriate membership dues to the club secretary.  ($40.00 for adults, $10.00 for children 18 years old and younger)  Please make checks payable to the Kingman Modelers and mail to:

                                                Club Information and Rules

 

The club dues are used for field expenses and for liability insurance. 

Monthly meetings are held at the Katherine Heidenreich Adult Center (1776 Airway Av.) on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  No meetings are held for the months of June, July and August. 

All members must be current members of the AMA and have a valid AMA card. 

All members must be current members of the Kingman Modelers R/C Club or their guest. 

Everyone must obey the AMA safety code and safety recommendations. 

Always place radios in impound cabinet when first arriving and after each flight. 

Members must utilize frequency control as follows:

  1. Remove frequency pin (your channel).
  2. Replace it with your AMA card or a copy of you AMA card.
  3. Fly from any one of the open flight stations.
  4. Return frequency pin upon completion of flight.
